Being an Outdoor Education Instructor?
- As part of the Summit camping team you will be involved in leading a wide variety of outdoor activities. These include; sailing, canoeing, abseiling, ropes courses, rock climbing, archery, BMX, bushwalking, bush tucker, bushcraft, nature studies, orienteering and games.
- You will work alongside Crusaders full-time Summit staff when on camp. These experienced leaders will help to "show you the ropes" and encourage you in your ministry.
- Camping ministry provides great opportunities to build relationships with campers as well as sharing the Gospel through informal conversation. You will also be involved in leading a small discussion group and joining in with large group times of singing, drama and Gospel presentation.
- As well as receiving on the job training whilst on camp, you will also have access to training in a range of outdoor education areas. As a Registered Training Organisation, Crusaders can provide accreditited and nationally recognised training in abseiling, rock climbing,sailing, canoeing, archery, first aid, bronze medallion rescue, power boat handling and rescue boat handling.
- Crusaders provides an allowance of $100 or $125 a day (including superannuation) depending on experience and qualifications, and includes all food and accommodation while on camp.
