Summit is committed to providing schools with a range of camping options for students in Kindergarten to Year 6. Summit aims to introduce students to new experiences not normally available within the classroom, and our camps are designed to complement the Primary curriculum, providing connections to the Key Learning Areas.
Activity camps for high school students help young adults to build relationships through group activities, develop confidence and self esteem, as well as provide students with the opportunity to hear and consider the Christian message.
Take your students on the ultimate adventure with an overnight bivouac. Combining on-site activities and Bible talks with a night under the stars, our adventure camps help students to gain self-confidence and a sense of adventure in a supervised environment.
Summit staff love Jesus and are committed to helping young people understand the Bible. Our discipleship camps combine a creative and interactive program with quiet reflection to help students think through the value of the Gospel.
Connect Life Skills Camps (Crossroads Curriculum for Yr 11)
Summit Connect Camps cover the entire Crossroads curriculum (DET Stage 6 requirements for PDHPE). These camps are designed to help students develop life skills in a real community environment as they think through issues of identity, sex, success and failure within the framework of a Christian worldview.
Camps can be great places for students to reflect and build new skills. Our leadership camps are a great way to prepare peer support leaders and school leadership teams for their responsibilities as student leaders. Leadership camps are available for both Primary and High School students, and include the option to combine with a Study Skills camp.
As students approach the senior years of high school they can feel overwhelmed by homework and assignments. A Study Skills camp introduces students to time management strategies, study techniques, and goal-setting so students can achieve their best. These camps can also be combined with Leadership camps.
Creative writing, country experience, sailing, ‘Slum Survivor’ social justice camp, indigenous studies and more… Summit offers a wide variety of special purpose camps tailored to your needs. See our full list of camp programs on offer.
Your school schedule and resources may not allow for a residential school camp, but Summit is still available to run outdoor educational programs at your school or at suitable locations. Contact our Program Co-ordinators on 02 9653 1676 (option 1) for more information.
