Ever feel like you’re the only Christian at your school? The good news is that their are over 6,900 Christian students just like you going to CRU Groups across NSW and the ACT – and you can meet them at InterCRU!
InterCRU is an after-school meeting for students in Years 7 to 12. These events include awesome Bible talks, live bands, good food, inspiring testimonies and their is no cost to attend!
In 2012 we’re running even more Inter-CRU events at even more place, because we want to make it even easier for even more students to come! Check out the dates and locations for what we’ve got planned this year:
Term 1:
Inner-West: @ Meriden School, 9th March, 4 – 5:30pm.
Speaker: Andrew Errington - Andrew now works right in the heart of Sydney’s inner-west at St.Stephen’s Anglican Church Newtown. He’s been a regular speaker at CRU camps for years, and native to the Inner-West. We’re looking forward to the challenge he brings us from the Bible.
North Shore: @ TBA, Date TBA, but it will be late Term 1, 4 – 5:30pm.
Speaker: Jeremy Morris: Jeremy is currently the Youth Pastor at St Andrews Anglican Church in Roseville. But he grew up at Shore School himself, and he knows the challenges that confront Christian students at school. It’s going to be great to have him share a message from God’s word with us.
Eastern Suburbs: @ Kambala School, 23rd March, 4 – 5:30pm.
Speaker: Damien Whitington – ‘Damo’ is currently studying at Sydney Missionary and Bible College. Before that, he was a PE teacher on Sydney’s northern beaches. Before that, he grew up surfing the beaches of the southern suburbs of Sydney. We’re looking forward to what he has to share from God’s word.
Term 2:
Western Suburbs: @ Toongabbie Christian School, 8th June, 4 – 5:30pm. And we’re super excited to be holding the first EVER Inter-CRU in the west. We’re looking forward to seeing students from schools right across Western Sydney (where God is doing great thing, as He is all over Sydney) come together in one place, at one time.
Speaker: Tim Johnson – Tim’s a former carpenter and now youth minister at Toongabbie Anglican Church. He’s got a passion for school ministry and he’s looking forward to opening God’s word at the first EVER Inter-CRU event in the West.
ACT: @ Burgmann Anglican School, June 2012, 4 – 5:30pm.
Speaker: Nigel Vaux - Nige is part of the Crusaders Schools Ministry Team here in Sydney where he spends his days teaching kids and youth about Jesus. He’s a gifted speaker. And not a bad magician either. He’s looking forward to opening God’s word with students from Canberra in June.
