"I didn't grow up in a Christian family so I didn't hear much about God. I started going to youth so I could muck up, talk and stuff. But then I made some friends and started going along more. I grew at youth camp 2011 and at KYCK 2012 I became a Christian! Jeremiah 29:11 encouraged me through hard times!"

"We are so thrilled that Jed's first camp experience at Beach Blitz and Ellie's first Crusader camp at Getaway were positive in all ways - the engaging leaders, the great understandable teaching, the enjoyable activities, meeting other great kids and good food. We are happy they both want to go again and we can already see the many ways camp has had a strengthening impact on them. Thanks again to everyone for all the effort you put in to grow all the children. Warmly Merilyn and Ken"

"Thank you for contributing to my camp ‘Summer Trails’ it was absolutely amazing! I met a fantastic bunch of girls, learnt more about God and even decided to give my life to Jesus! I also learnt a lot more about horses and I am so thankful for your contribution for a camp that changed my life! I really appreciate it. Thank you!"

"Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks for having our boys - Ben and Samuel - on Dirtbike camp in September. They really loved it and are keen for more! We really appreciate the leaders who sacrificed their time and who gave of themselves for that week. We are so aware that our son's spiritual journey is a combination of great role models as well as family influence, and we're so grateful for the role models at Crusaders. As the boys enter their teenage years, we believe Crusaders will be an important part of their lives, so we'll see you again! Thanks so much again and may God continue to bless all that you do in reaching kids for Jesus."

"My first experience of learning about God was through CRU group at school. For 3 years it was my only regular exposure to God's Word (apart from chapel) because I didn't go to church. CRU gave me a safe forum to ask questions and has definitely helped me to grow in my faith. Now I am co-leading a CRU group of year 10 girls and this is fuelling even more growth as I get asked thought-provoking questions and have to delve deeper into the Bible. In January I attended a leadership conference run by Crusaders’ Schools Ministry team. It was a wonderful experience and so much more than just a camp. It provided me with invaluable training for leading younger girls at school and it was also a great encouragement for me in my own walk with God."

"I love being a Summit Fellow (ministry trainee) because I get to share the love of God in word and action every day with hundreds of students. Some of the kids only know the name of Jesus as a swear word, so it’s awesome to share with them that He is actually their loving Saviour! Often, after camps, I receive letters and emails from campers. One year 6 boy wrote to tell me that, after being on a Summit Camp, he wanted to focus on God and become closer to Him. I’m really looking forward to getting further trained in leading small groups, Biblical theology and giving talks this year because I’m keen to figure out if I’m cut out for full-time ministry long term. "I began my week on CRU Camp in limbo, as I faced the decision between my current life and a life lived with God. Questions were filling my head … what happens when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour? Do we need to do anything to be accepted by God? What does it look like to be a Christian? At each talk and group bible study while on camp I found that all of my questions were being answered. No questions were too hard! The camp leaders were so real and down to earth. They were willing to share stories of their faith and were honest about the struggles they have had with God. My leaders helped me to see how awesome life can be in a relationship with God and their attitude to Jesus made me excited to join God’s family. I'm not in limbo anymore, but am ready to start my Christian journey, my relationship with Jesus and living my life with God."
