GENERAL NOTES

  • All pre-processed foods and sauces used for a requested special diet will be checked to ensure they comply with the dietary requirements of that special diet. For example, gelatine used for a vegetarian diet will be vegetarian-safe or soy sauce in a gluten-free dish will be coeliac-safe.
  • Three main meals only are provided daily to suit the above diets. Fruit only is provided for special diet snacks but campers may wish to bring some additional snacks.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements outside of those listed above. However, campers with special diets outside these provisions are welcome to bring their own food for reheating.
  • Anaphylactic Nut Allergies: Crusaders generally provides a diet free of whole nuts and nut pieces. However, being a commercial kitchen, we cannot provide food that is free of traces of nuts. Therefore, a camper with a severe or life threatening allergy to nuts must provide their own food for reheating.
  • The Camp Co-ordinator needs to notify the campsite of any special diets at least fourteen (14) days before camp commences. It is usual practice for kitchen staff to serve guests with notified special diets first, so please ensure that these guests are made known to kitchen staff before others are served.
