ABOUT CRUSADERS


Crusaders' Vision


The Crusader Union is a Bible-based, interdenominational, Christian youth organisation which seeks to:
    • Share Jesus with a new generation
    • Nurture Christians and
    • Encourage church membership

Founded in 1930, Crusaders currently reaches over 30,000 young people with the gospel each year through the following programs:

CRU CAMPS


SUMMIT EDUCATIONAL CAMPS


CRU SCHOOL GROUPS
(Schools Ministry)
  • Over 50 CRU Holiday Camps are run each year in the Easter, winter, spring and summer school holidays
  • Over 2,300 campers from grades 3-12 attend CRU Camps each year
  • Over 650 volunteers staff these camps each year
   
  • Over 80 term time school camps are run each year
  • Over 5,000 campers and 200 teachers attend Summit Camps each year
  • Eight Ian Holt Memorial Fellows per year are trained in camping ministry & Christian leadership
   
  • Reaching over 25,000 students each year through assembly and CRU group lunchtime talks
  • Contact in over 100 schools
  • Over 2,000 students meeting in Crusader groups each week across NSW

CAMP & CONFERENCE CENTRES

  • Galston Gorge Conference & Recreation Centre
  • Lake Mac Outdoor Recreation Centre
   
  • Crusaders are a RTO (Registered Training Organisation)
  • Training 500 casual and volunteer camp staff per year in Outdoor Recreation, First Aid, Bronze Medallion and Theology
  • Crusaders runs training externally for schools and organisations
